Aprilia Scarabeo 200 Rays Ride Motivated by mishap, this Scarabeo 200 is one of a kind. Brendon Watson Rays Scarabeo 200 started life like most other scooters, how it came out of the box. A minor mishap provided this owner the opportunity to change colours to something a bit brighter..
This ride has been professionally painted in a colour scheme selected by Ray, its one of those customs where you either like it or you don't. Either way it certainly has some presence, if you can't see it coming you should be declared legally blind.
Subtle touches are polished wheel edges on the rims with Continental Go tyres. A GPR Carbon slip on muffler fitted for a little more performance, the exhaust note providing the ambience. Finally a Malossi Variator with fitted to the transmission to improve take off & rolling throttle response.
The last two items a Custom seat & Scarabeo badging which form part of the original plan are still to be completed. We'll update the pictures when its all done.
This scooter opitimises a new emerging scene which is more about personalising than outright performance. While this one sounds good & goes better it is also retains the extremely environmentally friendly scooter factor. A very green vehicle if you pardon the pun.
