Brendon After riding a Bolwell Jolie 50cc for 12 months, I found myself using it so much more than I first anticipated. It was time to upgrade to a bigger scooter for safety reasons when venturing further and having to use main roads. My experience with a local dealer was unsatisfactory, so I ventured into Scooter HQ looking for whatever they had to offer. I was happy with the service, but not the bike I was shown, so after plodding around for another week in Brisbane, I finally decided upon the Bolwell HD200. Once again, Scooter HQ came to the rescue with service and price and they have another satisfied customer under their wings.
I love the power of the bike, along with the fact it’s still a scooter (no gas tank underfoot as with the GMAX), so I can wear my medieval dresses when I’m not wearing jeans. The seating position of the passenger is very good and there is plenty of room for 2 as the seat is quite large. Of course being red, it goes faster than other colours and the Givi top box is so much more superior to the RJays I had on the Jolie. Today I bought a set of Ventura Monza saddlebags, and now I’m all set to do the weekly shopping on the scooter. My car is being used less and less these days.
I love going for bike rides with a friend, but not so far that I get bored with it. I enjoy riding for half an hour and then checking out the scenery or stopping for a snack and a chat. I think I will check out the scooter clubs close by me so I can meet some new friends and go for some runs. I’m a frustrated party animal, dying to party again, so watch out!
