Its time to start the competition for 2008 Scooter of the Year This year we will be doing it a bit different, we want your input. Brendon This year we decided to make do something a bit different for the Scooter of the Year 2008. First off we are going to introduce the contenders one by one in instalments over a period of time & ask for input from regulars at our Scooter runs. These regulars a diverse, of gratly varying dimensions & requirements from a scooter. Each of them have been through the apprenticeship stage and have a fair idea of what they like & dislike.
The problem with finding a Scooter of the Year as we found out last year is most of the contenders are usually the best from different classes & hard to put up against each other, how do you compare a 50cc Retro to a 250cc Sports Scooter? Scooterists also have such different requirements making the process even harder, someone who is 6' 3" isn't necessarily going to like the same scooter as someone 5'3".
Really we are trying to uncover which scooter is best at what it is designed to do. Whether that be a cheap commuter designed to get you from A to B or a maxi designed to take you from A to Z. The contestants also have to be currently available for sale in the Australian market during 2008. published 23/07/2008 |
