A commute on a scooter can be a refreshing or intimidating experience, depending if you know how to ride.
With professional training it can take as little as two hours to take someone from complete beginner to competent rider, for those wanting greater security and skills more comprehensive options are available. The facts speak for themselves, if you have professional training you are far less likely to crash.
In Queensland you can ride an LA class 50cc scooter on a car license, anything bigger requires an automatic motorcycle license which is very easy to get. Step one is to get a L plate or learners permit which requires you to have held a car license for 12 months. Simply go to a Qld Transport office & answer 5 questions about motorcycles, there are 10 possible questions which can be practised online at (https://www.service.transport.qld.gov.au/rrtexternal/SelectExam.jsp).
Once you have your L's you can now ride under the direct supervision of someone who has held that class of license for 12 months, someone like our training partners. If you are completely new to scooting we can drop your scooter at the academy so you learn on your scooter or for a small fee you can use their scooters. Being automatic it is far easier to learn to ride a scooter than a motorbike, just twist & go.

3 Hour Course - 50cc Scooters $150.00 - One on One with your trainer
This course has is conducted one on one ensuring the trainer is able to provide you with quality supervision. Covering bike control, braking, cornering and roadcraft you will finish this with the basics necessary to start experiencing the joy of scooters. A follow up course is a great idea a month or so later to confirm and expand on these basics.
Experienced Rider Course - Motorcycle License 6 Hours $350
Group session for those who have been there done that, maxium of 6 riders between 2 trainers
New riders 12 Hour course $550
(4x 3 hour blocks) Motor Cycle License LAMS approved Scooters- One on One with your trainer
Designed specifically for those who want to ride a scooter that requires a motorcycle license. After you have completed these courses you will be issued with an under LAMS automatic motorcycle license. One of the more time intensive aspects of learning how to ride a motorcycle is mastering the gearbox and clutch. As most scooters are automatic the amount of time it takes to get going is dramatically reduced allowing the new rider to work on riding skills immediately.
This course is conducted under the Q-ride system which is competency based. It may take you longer than quoted, it may take you less. Any additional time will be charged
