Hi tech Daelim Daelim S1 Neo Forte The Australian 125cc Scooter market is about to get a dose of sophistication Brendon We can confirm the newest & most advanced model in the Daelim lineup is heading to Australia.
The products Daelim Australia have bought into the country have been excellent, the Australian operation has ignored the lower spec models and only brings into Australia Daelims finest. Both the NS125 & S-five 50cc scooters have a string of happy owners and Daelim have built a base of loyal customers. The addition of the S1 Neo Forte to the range will provide Daelim with an enviable lineup.
We haven't seen the S1 in the flesh (yet) but have great expectations of the scooter based on our Daelim experience to date. Technically the S1 has all the goodies, the 4 valve engine gets Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), 13" Alloy wheels, Disc brakes front & rear, combined analogue/digital instruments, dual headlights & huge 9.5ltr fuel tank.
With Daelim products, build quality, engine performance, ergonomics & handling are excellent & we anticipate the S1 to be no exception. The Daelim S1 Neo Forte will complement its older brother in the Daelim line up it is not a replacement for the legendary NS125.
So where will the new S1 sit in the Australian Market? Based on the specs it has two scooters firmly in its sights, first in the firing line will be Honda's good but very expensive @ 125 & Yamahas new Fuel injected Cygnus X. The existing NS125 has been very successfully taking the fight to these scoots. The S1 Neo Forte should enter the ring odds on favourite to deliver a knock out blow to both the Honda & Yamaha.
Pricing for Australia has yet to be confirmed but we expect the S1 Neo Forte to retail for around $4,500. published 22/01/2008 |
